SPARKLY, TWINKLY DAY 21

21 DAYS

21 DAYS OF DIFFERENT HATS

21 DAYS OF NO CHOCOLATE !!!!!!

Of course, those who know me, will realise that I never miss an opportunity to surround myself with glittery, sparkly lights. (I must have been a bower bird in a former life!)
I could never resist the sparkly lights

Today is no exception.  As I sit at my desk, staring at a HUGE block of Toblerone - something I cannot touch for another 24hours - my hat is glowing in the darkness (Well until, I turn the lights on in my office!)

One has to ask . . . .   Are 4 strands of fairy lights too much?

hahaha  - never!!!!

Please please, donate to this great cause - Open Family Australia.
Please quote my Name (Your donation will be added to the total I've raised this past 3 weeks)

To those who have donated - a whopping huge THANK YOU

I have had fun - and will be doing this challenge again in 2013

Racing to the finish line now..... Day 19 & 20

Catching up with a backlog of work, but here are the hats for Days 19 & 20

You can take a girl out of the country, but you can't take her away from her country hat!

Ho Ho Ho ....   Yes, totally out of season, but it would not have been a hat challenge without at least ONE of my many santa hats now, would it?

Please, please follow the links  and donate...  Only One more day of challenge to go....
I guess you will have noticed there hasn't been any flashing lights yet.........

10 days of happy Headgear

Day 18 - 18 days without chocolate???  I'm turning a tad witchy!

Day 17 - Once again, chilly weather is perfect for the pink beanie!

Day 15 - A total stranger gave me a length of ribbon which matched my outfit - a deft flick of the wrist and voila!  chic headwear!

Day 12 - Has anybody seen my Sherpa?

My first opportunity to post pics of my headwear for the past 10 days:

Day 9 - some spotted leopard stuffed toy died for this hat...

Day 13 - Attack of the 80's hair - one headband too close to a Flock of Seagulls...
Day 11 - Watch out!  Some angry Barbie somewhere wants her hat back!

Day 10 - Slightly Raiders of the Lost Arcade look here...

Day 13 - The Staff at Frankston Savers are now helping me find hats!!  Thank You!

Day 16 - At a girls' day out - the appropriate 'Ladies Day' hat was perfect for the occasion.

DAY 14

Way-hey!!

Of course, I've been away from a computer for a week - but I have been posting daily pics on facebook - I will try to do a catch up run ASAP so you can see that I have managed a different hat or headgear every day so far...

2 weeks - 14 days -- without chocolate.

It was so tempting today, walking in the supermarket aisle, seeing all those blocks of yum on special.
But I was strong, and I resisted each and every one of them.

Oh boy am I going to have a feast on the 22nd!

All this has a purpose - to raise funds and awareness of Open Family Australia's Outreach Program for homeless youth...
32,000 will be on the street - without adequate shelter next week - the 21st of June is the longest night...

Please, please donate to the cause - there is a link on earlier posts....

I'll post my headgear - I can be found on Facebook - Bronwyn Bacon - my profile pic is a blue cat...

Day 6 & 7 ---- cap in hand....

Day 6

Really busy - forgot to post a pic of Wednesday's Hat.

I wore a Dulux Jelly Beans Baseball cap.
I really, really hate wearing hats.....
bad hat hair for the whole rest of the day !!!!!

Day 7
Still really busy at work, but I was wearing a faded red 'go to the races' hat.

Please follow the links to donate....

My tin is getting heavier too!

Day 5 - Time for the Tiara . . . .

I couldn't let the royal celebrations fly by without of course including a Tiara as one of my daily headpieces.....

Day 4. Angelic me!

This would be me . . . ..

angelic.

Somehow my boss thought this was false advertising - he just doesn't see my angelic side.

Thanks to those who have sponsored me so far - Ang and Claire - also to the lovely lady I met at the supermarket on Friday night - your $5 donation is in the tin.

(as for chocolate......the thought of a cocoa has crossed my mind once or twice, but I'm drinking tea instead!!!)

Day 2 & 3 - the first weekend

DAY 2 - Saturday
Sorting through my stash of hats, I thought I'd start off with a beanie - one that had belonged to my Grandmother - I used to wear this one with a little gold dog brooch - do you think I could lay my hands on this brooch for a pic??  Of course not...

Day 3 - Sunday
Sunday was a bit drizzly and cool, so it was perfect weather to wear my fluffy purple beanie.  I wore this one out for a walk down to the Sunday market, then along the beach.  It kept my head warm and dry, but gave me dreadful 'helmet-hair'.

As for the chocolate??  Well I was feeling a bit put-out at the supermarket, but I avoided the confectionary aisle and later in the evening drank tea instead of cocoa for a hot drink.

(This is what I'm giving up - Chocolate & Hot Cocoa!!!)

2012 - 21 Day Challenge - Open Family Australia Outreach Programe

The 21 Day Challenge.

I have elected to participate in this year’s 21 Challenge for the Open Family Australia Outreach Program.

I challenged myself to wear a different hat or headgear every day for 21 days.
My Boss decided that was not enough of a challenge for me, knowing my quirky nature and in return challenged me to give up CHOCOLATE for 21 days.

This means:
·         No chocolate bars
·         No Hot Chocolates
·         No home-made fudge
·         No Chocolate based snacks
·         No Chocolate Chip biscuits

(Please do not tempt me with any of the above chocolaty delicacies during these 21 days)

I’ll be posting a pic of my daily hat on the main noticeboard by the mailroom and on this blog.
A tin will also be located on the ground floor area, asking for donations or sponsorship to complete either challenge.
If you wish to help by making a credit card donation - please click on this link for a secure site.
